UNDERSTANDING OF A DIALOGUE AND CONVERSATIONS IN ENGLISH

Dialogue is a conversation among 2 or more persons about general topic. By general, dialogue composes of the following manner:

a)    Presentation
b)   Development
c)    Final

a)    Presentation: To refer to greetings or start of a dialogue. There used to use courtesy words.
Good morning
Good afternoon
Good night
Good evening
Hello
Hi
What’s up
How are you?
Excuse me

Now, the following dialogue is a example:

Hi!
Hello!
How are you?
Fine, and you?
Fine

 Or also:
What’s up?
No, nothing and you?
No, I’m working.

Here, we look at 2 dialogue’s types and are:
a)    Formal Dialogue: Is a conversation with persons where use courtesy words.
b)    Informal Dialogue: Is a conversation between known or friends, and where use language a little polited.

For example:
Informal dialogue:
Hi, Peter!
Hi, Mary!
How do you do?
I'm fine
are you coming to the party tonight?
Yes, of course
Ok, see you!
See you!


Formal Dialogue:

Excuse me, could you tell me where is the bank, please?
Yes, turn right and you can find it opposite the school.
Thank you. Good bye
Bye

b) Development: To refer to transition between courtesy words and general topic to discuss.


C) Final: To refer to termination of dialogue, where can be for among the following words:
·         Bye
·         Good bye
·         See you
·         See you next opportunity
·         See you later
·         Nice to meet you
·         Thanks/ thank you
·         You’re welcome
·         Bye bye

READING KNOWING, UNDERSTANDING AND APPLYING TO ANNOUNCEMENT INTO TO A READING What’s announcement? An announcement visual document that transmit a message or information about something or somebody. By regular, announcement composes of: a  a)     Header : It’s a title of announcement with relevant to general topic.     b)  Subtitle : It’s specific topic to deal.    c) Information relevant to event, something or somebody : All information about benefits, purposes and others derived to specific topic to deal.     d)    Image : Picture relevant to information.     e) Contacts or Action call : cellphone numbers, address, emails and others where customer can contact with information’s owner.   Example:  By general those announcements inside reading are named guides. Finally, when we apply our knowledge acquired in announcement is for among to test, brochure, and others similar.
